Go for a wine with serious citrus to cut through the saltiness of the cheese. A riesling will also complement the freshness of the herbs, while not overpowering the earthiness of the quinoa.

Conversation Starters

We can thank the French for the name and idea of picnics, as it originated sometime during the 17th century. Originally each guest would bring a separate dish, and many were held indoors!

Riesling originated in the Rhine region of Germany, and is one of the countries most important varieties. Grown in other parts of Europe, North American and Australia & New Zealand, the grape is "terroir-expressive", meaning the characteristics of the wine influenced by where its grown. This means Rieslings can vary greatly in taste based on where they are from.
